Oakbank Golf Club Women’s Open Day

The annual Oakbank Women’s Open Day, held on Friday 28 August, was a resounding success, with perfect sunshine and blue skies providing the ideal backdrop.

We were delighted to welcome 45 guests from nine visiting clubs, all enjoying the hospitality
and presentation of our course.

The day featured a range of highlights, including a popular trading table and raffle generously supported by local businesses, a fun chocolate and port stop at the 4th tee, and novelty competitions for longest and most accurate drive. Players also enjoyed a welcome halfway break with a choice of four delicious soups.

The great atmosphere carried through to the clubhouse, where guests shared a relaxed lunch before prize presentations. Our thanks to our main sponsor, Harcourts Adelaide Hills Real Estate, for the wonderful prizes.

Congratulations to winners Janice Samms and Natalie Wells (Blackwood Golf Club), and runners-up Ingrid Svilans and Natasha Rees (Thaxted Park).

A vibrant and enjoyable day from start to finish — and certainly one where nobody went hungry.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a memorable event.
